Center for Preventive Medicine

The Center for Preventive Medicine of the State Institution "Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk Region" (hereinafter referred to as the CPM) is a sanitary and preventive institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, established to ensure the sanitary and epidemic well-being of persons who, in accordance with the law, have the right to medical care in health care institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In its activities, the PMC is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the laws of Ukraine, acts of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, orders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and other regulatory legal acts on ensuring sanitary and epidemic welfare of the population.
The CPM supervises compliance with sanitary and preventive measures and provides advisory and methodological assistance at the controlled facilities of subordinate administrative territories, military units, and subdivisions.
The main tasks of the CPM are:
1.     Implementation of state sanitary and epidemiological supervision in territorial bodies for the provision of services in institutions, institutions, and enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in territorial separate police units, institutions, institutions, enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the National Police of Ukraine; in military units, higher military educational institutions, military training units (centers), health care institutions and institutions of the National Guard of Ukraine.
2.    Determination of priority measures for the prevention of infectious and non-infectious diseases, and radiation damage among persons who, in accordance with the law, have the right to medical care.
3.    Exercising control over the sanitary and epidemic well-being of persons who, in accordance with the law, have the right to medical care.
4.    Identification of environmental factors that adversely affect the health of persons who, in accordance with the law, have the right to health care.
         The PMC conducts laboratory bacteriological studies for the needs of preventive and current state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance, during epidemiological investigations and provides paid services in accordance with the procedure established by the current legislation in accordance with the approved price list.
