The event addressed the following issues:
- Prevention of healthcare-associated infections (HCAI) in hospitals according to WHO recommendations, implementation of the infection control system;
- Methods and means used to treat the hands of medical personnel in the performance of professional duties; 
- Use of personal protective measures;
- Emergency post-exposure prophylaxis in case of contact with a source of potential HIV infection; 
- Fulfillment of the requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 08.06.2015 № 325 "On Approval of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Rules and Regulations on Medical Waste Management" and the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 11.08.2014 № 552 "On Approval of the State Sanitary Rules and Regulations "Disinfection, pre-sterilization cleaning and sterilization of medical devices in health care facilities".
         The event was followed by an active discussion of practical issues with the participants of the event according to the agenda.
